Brevard County Mugshots, Arrest Photos and Booking Records
The fastest way to look for a Brevard County mugshot or recent booking is the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office inmate search. You can search by booking date, last name, first name, subject number or booking number, then open a booking record to review the available mugshot, charges, bond information, court data and custody or release status.
Search the official Brevard arrest inquiry
Brevard County Sheriff’s Office links its Arrest Inquiry page directly to the county inmate-search database. Start there if you need a current or historical booking record.
Use the booking database for arrest and custody information, then use court records for the legal case and later disposition.
How to search Brevard County mugshots
The Sheriff’s inmate-search form gives you several ways to narrow a booking search. A name search is useful when you know the person, while date fields are better when you are trying to identify a recent booking.
What a Brevard booking record can show
The detail page is more useful than the search-results list because it can connect the booking image with identifiers, booking dates, custody information, bond entries and criminal-charge data.
| Field | What it helps you confirm |
|---|---|
| Mugshot | The booking photograph associated with the displayed record when available. |
| Subject number | A person-specific identifier useful for distinguishing similar names. |
| Booking number | Identifies a particular jail booking. |
| Booking date | Shows when that booking was processed. |
| Custody/release | Shows whether the displayed booking is currently in custody or has a recorded release. |
| Bond | May show bond type, amount and related charge count. |
| Charges | May include charge description, offense date, crime class and arresting agency. |
| Case / docket | Provides an important bridge from the jail record to the court record. |
| Court date / judge | Can provide a preliminary court reference when those fields are populated. |
How to read charges without mistaking them for convictions
A charge listed in a booking record describes an allegation associated with that arrest or detention. It does not tell you by itself whether the charge was later filed by prosecutors, amended, dismissed, reduced or resulted in a conviction.
Booking record
Best for arrest date, booking identifiers, custody status, bond and the charges attached to the jail record.
Court record
Best for case numbers, filings, hearings and later activity in a filed criminal case.
Final outcome
Do not infer an outcome from an old mugshot. Review the latest court information for the case.
Bond information and release questions
Booking details may show a bond type and amount for one or more charges. A displayed amount does not guarantee immediate release because multiple holds, court orders or separate charges may affect the person’s status.
Review every bond entry and charge rather than assuming one dollar amount applies to the whole case.
For inmate and bond information, the Sheriff lists (321) 690-1500 ext. 0.
The Sheriff’s jail FAQ explains accepted options and directs cash or credit-card payments to TouchPay. Confirm the current requirements before sending money.
Review the current BCSO Jail FAQs before making a bond payment.
Verify the arrest with Brevard County court records
The Brevard County Clerk of Court provides the Brevard Electronic Court Application, or BECA, for public court-record searches. This is the appropriate next stop when you need to move beyond the initial booking information.
Use a case or docket number
If the Sheriff’s booking detail provides a case or docket number, use that identifier first. It is usually more precise than searching a common name.
Use the public search
The Clerk provides general public court-record access after acceptance of its disclaimer. Registered subscriber access is a separate route.
The Clerk identifies felony matters as Circuit Court cases and misdemeanor matters as County Court cases. Court data should be used to check what happened after the initial arrest.
Why a mugshot may remain after a person is released
A Sheriff booking-detail page can retain booking history even when the record shows that the person was released. That is why finding a booking photograph does not mean the person is currently in the Brevard County Jail Complex.
- Read the current custody or release field.
- Check the booking date so you know which arrest you are viewing.
- Review booking history if more than one booking appears.
- Use the court case to determine later proceedings.
- Use VINE when ongoing custody-status notification is appropriate.
When to request an official arrest or booking record
The online inmate database is designed as an informational search. If you need an official local record, arrest report or another Sheriff-held document, use the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office public-records process.
Public-record requests may require research and review for statutory exemptions, so the Sheriff advises that they cannot necessarily be completed the same day.

Visitation and communication after you find an inmate
Brevard County uses Smart Communications for general inmate communications and video visitation. The Sheriff states that routine face-to-face visitation is not offered except for professional or specially approved visits.
Remote video visits
The published schedule currently lists remote and on-demand visitation seven days a week during 8 a.m.–12 p.m., 1 p.m.–5 p.m. and 8 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
Scheduling window
The Sheriff says a visit may be scheduled up to seven days in advance and at least 24 hours ahead. Check the current rules before scheduling.
Get notified about custody changes with Florida VINE
If your concern is a future release or other custody-status change, repeatedly checking a mugshot page is less useful than a notification service. Florida VINE provides custody information and allows eligible users to register for notifications.
Events can include
- Release
- Transfer
- Escape
- Death
- Supervision-status changes
If you cannot find the Brevard booking
Try only the last name, check the spelling and remove unnecessary filters. Then add a date range if you know approximately when the arrest occurred.
Compare subject number, booking number, date of birth or age, booking date and case identifiers before selecting a record.
Read the release and booking-history fields. Historical booking information does not establish current incarceration.
Move to the Clerk’s BECA search. A booking database is not the final source for dismissal, plea, conviction or other case disposition.
Submit a Sheriff public-records request rather than treating the public inmate-search screen as a certified document.
