Find Volusia County Mugshots, Recent Bookings and Jail Records
For a current Volusia County booking photo or jail record, start with the Volusia County Division of Corrections inmate information search. The county’s public system is the most useful first stop for matching a person to a booking record, while the Clerk of the Circuit Court provides a separate daily arrest/booking report and criminal case search.
Start with the official Volusia inmate search
The Corrections public-access system is designed for general inmate and booking information. Volusia County states that its online inmate information is updated about every 15 minutes, but the web information is not the official record and should not be relied on for legal action.
Tip: use the person’s full name and confirm the booking number before relying on a photo, bond figure or custody status.
How to search Volusia Florida mugshots online
The county jail search and the Clerk’s arrest reports serve different purposes. Use Corrections when you need a current inmate page or booking-photo route; use the Clerk when you want a downloadable record of arrests booked during the previous 24 hours.
How to check recent Volusia County arrests
The Volusia County Clerk publishes a 24 Hour Arrest report based on data obtained from the county Jail Management System. The report covers people arrested and booked into the Branch Jail during the previous 24 hours and includes initial booking, charge and violation information.
The Clerk states that these daily files generally remain available for about 14 calendar days. That makes the report useful for recent-booking research, but it is not a permanent archive of every arrest.
What a Volusia booking record can tell you
Booking identity
Use the recorded name and booking number to distinguish one jail event from another. A person may have more than one booking over time.
Booking photo
A mugshot is associated with a booking event. It does not establish that the person committed the alleged offense or was later convicted.
Charge information
Charge wording reflects the booking or case information available at that stage. Court filings and final disposition may differ.
Bond information
Bond may be set at booking or modified during First Appearance. Use the Branch Jail Booking Office when the current amount matters.
Custody status
Current jail information is more useful than an old mugshot page when you are trying to determine whether someone remains in county custody.
Court follow-up
Use the Clerk’s criminal case search to look for public docket information, case events and available document images.

Bond, First Appearance and release in Volusia County
The Volusia County Branch Jail is the location the county identifies for posting bond and attending First Appearance hearings. Bond information is available from the Branch Jail Booking Office at 386-254-1555, which the county lists as open around the clock for bond inquiries.
A newly arrested person generally remains in custody until bond is posted or a judge orders release. During First Appearance, a judge can leave the bond unchanged, raise or lower it, release the person on recognizance, or take another action permitted in the case.

Daytona Beach, FL
The county operates this facility separately from the Branch Jail.
Use court records to check what happened after the arrest
A mugshot captures one point in the criminal process. For public information about a Volusia County criminal case, use the Clerk of the Circuit Court’s Case Inquiry. The Clerk allows searches by name or case number and makes many public docket entries and document images available online.
Some cases or documents are confidential by law or court order, and some public documents require Clerk review before they can be displayed online. A missing online image therefore does not necessarily mean that no court record exists.
Visitation after you find the booking number
Volusia County uses appointment-based visitation. You need the inmate’s six-digit booking number before scheduling. The county directs visitors to schedule through IC Solutions or its automated scheduling line.
- Visits are offered Tuesday through Saturday.
- Appointments must generally be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Visitors should check in 10 minutes before the scheduled session.
- Adults 18 and older need acceptable photo identification showing date of birth.
- Cell phones, tablets, cameras and other recording devices are prohibited inside the visitation building.
- The county limits an inmate to one visiting session per day.
Inmate money and mail: use the booking number again
Volusia County inmate trust accounts can be used for commissary and phone time. When sending an accepted money order or certified/government check, the county instructs senders to use the name under which the person was booked and the correct booking number.
Mail also needs to identify a specific inmate by the incarcerated name and matching booking number. The county requires a sender return address and states that incoming mail is screened, with privileged attorney or official mail handled under separate rules.

What to do when you cannot find the person
Booking data may not appear instantly. Recheck the county search later or call the booking/charges information line at 386-254-1540.
The person may have bonded out, been released or transferred. Search the Clerk’s criminal case system for the related court record.
If the person was transferred to state prison, use the Florida Department of Corrections offender search.
A federal detainee may not appear in a county roster. Use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator when appropriate.
Do not rely on the photograph alone. Compare booking numbers and available identity details before concluding that a record belongs to the person you are researching.
Custody notifications for victims and concerned users
Florida’s VINE service can provide custody-status and criminal-case notification services. Registration is required for notifications. The Florida Department of Corrections lists the VINE information line as 877-846-3435, available 24 hours a day.
Before sharing a Volusia mugshot or arrest record
- Confirm the identity with more than a name whenever possible.
- Check whether the record describes a booking, current custody or an older arrest.
- Do not describe a charge as a conviction.
- Use the Clerk’s court record to look for the later case status.
- Be especially careful with common names and similar-looking photographs.
- Do not use this guide as a substitute for legal advice or an official certified record.
