Search Arrest, Mugshot & Inmate Records by Name
Search by name and state for arrest, booking, mugshot, inmate, jail roster, prison, criminal and court-record search categories.
Independent records-search resource. This website is not a government agency, police department, sheriff's office, jail, prison or courthouse. Search coverage varies by source and jurisdiction. Some links may lead to third-party services, and compensation may be received when a partner service is used.
Find Seminole County Mugshots, Recent Bookings and Current Inmates
For a current Seminole County jail booking, start with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office inmate search. It is the most direct route to a person who is presently associated with the John E. Polk Correctional Facility and can be searched by name, age, booking number and other available criteria.
The Sheriff’s Office also publishes daily booking reports. Those reports are useful when you are checking recent arrests rather than only people who remain in custody. For the final status of a criminal case, use the Seminole County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller because booking data does not show the final court outcome.
Start with the official current-inmate search
If you know the person’s name or booking number, search the Sheriff’s Office custody portal first. If the person is no longer listed, move to the daily booking reports and then the Clerk’s criminal-case search.
These links go to official Seminole County Sheriff or Clerk resources. CountyJailMugshots.org is an independent information guide and does not operate those databases.
How to Search Current Seminole County Inmates
The Sheriff’s Office links its correctional-services page directly to a public custody portal. The search form includes fields for last name, first name, middle name, age, race, gender and booking number, so a booking number is especially useful when several people have similar names.
Recent Seminole County Arrests and Daily Booking Reports
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office maintains a Daily Booking Report section. Public booking summaries can include the arrestee’s name, booking date, booking number, arresting agency, charge descriptions, statute references and arrest date.
The Sheriff’s Public Information Unit states that a booking report is produced each weekday for persons arrested and booked during the previous day and overnight. Monday’s report covers weekend arrest information, so the report sequence may not match a simple one-report-per-calendar-day pattern.
Where Seminole County Mugshots May Appear
The Sheriff’s Office directs users seeking information and booking photos for people currently incarcerated at John E. Polk Correctional Facility to the current-inmate system. A correct name or other identifying detail is important because arrest records can involve people with similar names.
For a person who is no longer in the facility, the Sheriff’s media guidance says booking photos may be requested through its Public Information Unit. Availability can differ from current-custody records, and a photo should never be treated as proof of guilt or as evidence of the final case outcome.
What a Seminole County Booking Record Can Tell You
Booking number
This is one of the strongest identifiers for a specific jail booking. Keep it when checking bond, mail, inmate accounts or other jail services.
Arresting agency
A Seminole County jail booking can involve the Sheriff’s Office or a municipal police department. The booking facility and the agency that made the arrest are not necessarily the same organization.
Charge description
The booking record can show the charge recorded during intake. It does not establish guilt and may not reflect later charging decisions by prosecutors.
Bond information
Bond information helps explain a possible release route, but a zero-dollar display does not automatically mean a person can simply pay nothing and leave.
Who Made the Arrest?
Do not assume every person booked into the county jail was arrested by a Seminole County sheriff’s deputy. The Sheriff’s Office says Seminole County also has municipal police departments serving Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford and Winter Springs.
If you need the underlying arrest report, agency jurisdiction matters. The Sheriff’s Public Information Unit says it can provide arrest reports only for people arrested by the Sheriff’s Office and cannot release reports on behalf of municipal police departments.
Use the Sheriff’s public-records or Public Information route for a report created by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
Contact the municipal police department identified as the arresting agency when you need that agency’s arrest report.
Use the Seminole County Clerk’s criminal case search instead of an arrest report when you need later court activity or disposition information.
Bond and Purge Payments at John E. Polk Correctional Facility
Before paying anything, locate the inmate in the official custody system and confirm the defendant’s name, date of birth, booking number and the bond status for each charge.
Credit or debit card bond
The Sheriff’s bond page states that card payments through its listed payment program are accepted up to $2,500 per charge, with a non-refundable service fee. Each bond must be paid separately.
Cash bond
Cash bonds are accepted for the full bond amount. The Sheriff’s instructions require valid photo identification and state that personal checks are not accepted for cash bonds.
Surety bond
Registered bail agents can submit surety bonds. The Sheriff’s Office specifically states that it does not recommend a bail agent.
Child-support purge
A person jailed for failure to pay child support may have a purge amount that can be paid to facilitate release. Purge procedures differ from a standard criminal bond.
Check the Seminole County Criminal Court Case
An arrest entry answers a different question from a court record. After identifying the booking, use the Seminole County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller to look for criminal cases, court events and available case information.
The Clerk’s online search menu includes Criminal Cases along with other court record categories. If a record you need is not available through the online system, the Clerk provides additional contact routes for the Criminal Division.

Inmate Money, Mail and Correspondence
Depositing money
The Sheriff’s inmate-account page lists online, telephone, cash walk-in, mail and facility-lobby options. Online card deposits are routed through Access Corrections, and lobby kiosks accept listed payment methods.
Official inmate-account instructionsRegular inmate mail
Regular correspondence is handled through the Sheriff’s MailGuard process. The envelope must clearly show the inmate’s name and booking number so the correspondence can be associated with the correct account.

Legal mail and magazine subscriptions are handled differently and are directed to the correctional facility itself under the Sheriff’s current instructions. Do not send money to the regular correspondence address; money-order deposits use a separate deposit address and form.
Custody Status Notifications
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office directs victims and other users who need release-status notifications to VINE. This is more useful than repeatedly refreshing a booking page when a custody change matters to your safety or planning.
Use the Sheriff’s correctional-services page to reach its current VINE link and follow the notification service’s enrollment instructions.
Open Sheriff’s Correctional ServicesWhat to Do When You Cannot Find the Booking
Try name variations, check the booking number if you have it, and review daily booking reports. A person who has been released may no longer appear as a current inmate.
If the person is no longer incarcerated, follow the Sheriff’s Public Information route for booking-photo availability rather than assuming an old third-party image is current.
Check the arresting agency. The Sheriff’s Office cannot issue an arrest report on behalf of one of Seminole County’s municipal police departments.
Search the Clerk’s criminal court records. Booking information alone does not establish whether a charge was filed, reduced, dismissed or resulted in a conviction.
Stop and compare identifiers. Similar names are not enough to establish identity, particularly when using arrest information publicly.
