Find NCRJ Mugshots, Recent Bookings and Jail Records
NCRJ commonly refers to North Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility in Greenwood, West Virginia. For a recent arrest, start with West Virginia’s official Daily Incarcerations tool, then use the jail offender search to confirm the person, facility and current record before checking the related court case.
Where to Check Recent NCRJ Arrests and Bookings
If the arrest happened recently, the most useful starting point is West Virginia’s Daily Incarcerations service. The system groups admissions by institution, including North Central Regional Jail, and lets you move from a daily admission entry toward the individual record.
Recent admission
Use Daily Incarcerations when you know the booking is fresh but do not yet know whether the person appears in a normal name search.
Known name
Use the Regional Jail Offender Search when you already have a name and need to check the matching jail record.
What happened next
Move to the West Virginia Judiciary after confirming the booking. Jail records answer custody questions; court records are the better source for the case itself.
How to Search NCRJ Mugshots and Inmate Records
The safest search is a two-stage check: first locate the booking, then verify that the person and facility match. Do not identify someone from a photo or name alone when there are common names or similar records.
What an NCRJ Booking Record Can Tell You
A jail record is mainly a custody and booking record. Depending on the particular public view, it may provide identifying information, an admission entry, facility information and links or details connected with the detention.
| Record detail | What it helps confirm | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Name and identifying data | Whether the record appears to belong to the person you are researching. | That two people with the same or similar name are the same person. |
| Admission or booking timing | Whether the record matches the approximate arrest period. | That the person remains in custody now. |
| Institution | Which regional jail or correctional facility is associated with the record. | That the person has never been transferred. |
| Charge-related information | The allegation or legal basis connected with the booking record. | Guilt, conviction or the final outcome of the case. |
| Booking image | Identity when an image is available in the current public record. | The accuracy of every surrounding allegation or a conviction. |
Check the Court Record After You Find an NCRJ Booking
A jail entry and a court case answer different questions. The jail system helps establish an admission or custody record; the West Virginia Judiciary is the better route for case filings, scheduled events, bond information and the judicial record.
Use the West Virginia Court Record Access landing page for statewide circuit-court search access.
Use the Magistrate Record Search for magistrate case information. It can be searched by name or case number.
The online magistrate search does not provide every underlying court document. For copies, contact the magistrate clerk in the county where the case was filed.
Why the arrest county matters
North Central Regional Jail serves multiple counties, so the jail facility and the court handling the case may be in different locations. Use the county associated with the criminal case when you move from the jail record to court research.
Use VINE When Custody Status Matters
West Virginia provides VINE for custody-status information and victim notification. It is more appropriate than repeatedly checking an old mugshot page when your real concern is whether custody status has changed.
Phone option
West Virginia DCR lists 1-866-WV4-VINE for custody-status information and registration for automatic telephone notifications.
Online notifications
The state also directs users to VINElink for notification registration. Review the official WV VINE information before relying on an alert.
North Central Regional Jail Facility Information

NCRJ Visitation: What to Verify Before Traveling
The official NCRJ page describes visits as scheduled, non-contact visits. It says the inmate must submit the visitation request through the kiosk, or use the facility’s scheduled-visitation form when the kiosk is unavailable.
Visit limits listed by WVDCR
- Visits must be scheduled in advance.
- Each inmate is permitted one visit per month under the posted rules.
- Normal visits are 30 minutes.
- A visit may include one adult with two minor children, or two adults.
- Longer visits require prior approval under the facility rules.
Verify the schedule before leaving
The current facility page clearly lists Tuesday visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The Thursday row on the official page currently displays an internally inconsistent time range. Call (304) 873-1384 before traveling instead of guessing which Thursday time was intended.
NCRJ Is Not Northern Regional Jail or Central Regional Jail
West Virginia has several regional facilities with similar abbreviations. A major source of search errors is treating NCRJ, NRJ and CRJ as interchangeable.
| Search term | Facility commonly meant | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| NCRJ | North Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility | Look for North Central Regional Jail in the institution field. |
| NRJ | Northern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility | Do not assume an NRJ result belongs to North Central. |
| CRJ | Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility | Confirm the complete facility name before using the record. |
What to Do When an NCRJ Search Does Not Work
A very recent admission may be easier to find through Daily Incarcerations first. Recheck the official name search later rather than assuming the booking never occurred.
The person may have been released, bonded, transferred or otherwise had a status change. Check VINE and the related court case.
Compare birth information, gender where displayed, admission timing and facility. Do not rely on the photo or surname alone.
Confirm that the institution says North Central Regional Jail. Northern Regional Jail and Central Regional Jail are different facilities.
Use the court record and the clerk handling the case. A jail description is not a substitute for the court docket or final disposition.
Check current custody and court sources before treating an old third-party image or booking page as evidence of present incarceration.
Official NCRJ and West Virginia Record Routes
Use these government resources as the primary verification path. Third-party mugshot pages can be stale, incomplete or detached from the later court outcome.
