Palm Beach County Booking Mugshots, Recent Arrests and Jail Record Verification
The official Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrest and jail system is the best starting point when you need a Palm Beach County booking photo, recent jail booking, current charge, bond information or custody clue. PBSO provides both an inmate-search route and a Booking Search for recent county-jail records.
A booking page only explains the jail side of an arrest. If you need to know what happened afterward, compare the booking information with Palm Beach County Clerk court records so you can see available court dates, charges, case events, dispositions, sentences and documents.
Search PBSO before relying on a reposted mugshot
Start at the Sheriff’s official Arrest & Jail page. Use the Booking Search for a recent booking or the inmate-search route when your main question is whether the person is currently associated with a PBSO detention facility.
Use the mugshot as a booking clue, then verify custody, bond and court status with the appropriate official system.
Quick Answer: Where to Find Palm Beach County Mugshots
For a recent Palm Beach County arrest, begin with the PBSO Arrest & Jail page. It links to the Sheriff’s inmate lookup and Booking Search, which PBSO describes as a search for recent inmates at the county jail.
A public booking result may include a booking photograph together with details such as the booked name, facility, booking date and time, booking or jacket identifiers, arresting agency, release information, charges and bond amounts. The fields available can vary by record.
PBSO Booking Search: start here for a recent county-jail booking and the booking-stage information attached to it.
PBSO inmate search / Inmate Records: use this when the main question is whether someone is currently in PBSO custody.
Palm Beach Clerk eCaseView: use the court system for court dates, filed charges, docket events, sentences, dispositions and available documents.
PBSO Central Records: use the Sheriff’s records process for police reports, local background checks and other responsive public records.
How to Search the PBSO Booking Blotter
Search carefully enough to distinguish one person from another. Palm Beach County includes many municipalities and arresting agencies, so a familiar name by itself is not a strong identity match.
How to Read a Palm Beach County Booking Record
PBSO booking records can contain several identifiers and status fields. Understanding their role helps you separate the intake event from what later happens in court.
| Field | What it means | Best follow-up |
|---|---|---|
| Booking photograph | An intake photograph associated with the displayed booking when the public result includes one. | Use other identifiers before assuming the photo belongs to the person you intended to find. |
| Booking number | An identifier tied to that jail booking event. | Keep it for jail, records and court follow-up. |
| Jacket number | A PBSO inmate identifier that can also be needed for some jail services. | Use it when a PBSO service specifically requests the jacket number. |
| Booking date/time | When the person was entered into the booking process for that event. | Compare it with the arrest date and court-file timing. |
| Facility | The PBSO correctional facility associated with the record. | Use the facility information for jail-specific questions. |
| Arresting agency | The law-enforcement agency responsible for the arrest. | For an arrest report, the responsible agency may matter. |
| Charges | The booking-stage allegations or charge entries shown with the arrest. | Check the Clerk record because filed charges and final outcomes may differ. |
| Original/current bond | Bond information associated with the charge or booking at the time shown. | Confirm current bond status through PBSO or the court when release decisions depend on it. |
| Release date | A release entry can show that the booking no longer represents current county-jail custody. | Use a current custody source if the person’s present location matters. |
How to Confirm Whether Someone Is Still in Custody
A recent arrest search and a present-custody question are related but not identical. Someone can remain visible in a booking record after release, transfer or another status change.
Use PBSO inmate and booking searches
PBSO’s Arrest & Jail page provides the official online routes. Check the facility and release information displayed on the result rather than assuming every booking result means the person is still jailed.
Call Inmate Records when needed
PBSO’s current Main Detention Center page lists (561) 688-4340 for Inmate Records. The Sheriff’s custody FAQ also directs callers to Inmate Records for booking information.
PBSO publishes different correctional contact numbers on some division pages. If a specialized number does not resolve the question, the Sheriff’s general number is (561) 688-3000.

Bond and Release Information After a Booking
PBSO Inmate Records maintains information that includes current charges and bond amounts. If the online booking entry is unclear or the bond status could have changed, verify it before making payment or pickup plans.
Do not read one bond line in isolation
A booking may contain multiple charges, holds or court requirements. Review the complete record rather than assuming one displayed amount guarantees immediate release.
Release still requires processing
PBSO explains that after a bond has been received, processed and executed, releases occur through the applicable detention facility. Processing time can exist between payment and actual release.
Use eCaseView to Check What Happened After the Arrest
The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller maintains Palm Beach County court records. Its free eCaseView system covers available civil, criminal and traffic case information.
Public users can search many records without registering. Available case information can include court dates, charges, sentences, complaints, parties and document images, subject to confidentiality and access restrictions.
Search many cases by name, case number, citation number, offense date, court type or case type without creating an account.
Registered users receive additional search criteria that the Clerk says can include date of birth, incident number, arrest date, booking number and driver’s-license number.
Uncertified documents that are available online can generally be viewed and printed without a charge; certified copies have separate fees.
eCaseView states that it is unavailable from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. for routine maintenance.
Request a Booking Photo, Police Report or Other PBSO Record
If the record you need is not available through the public booking interface, use PBSO Central Records. The division handles public-record requests including police records, audio/video reproductions, local background checks and police letters of clearance.
PBSO provides an online GovQA records-request route so a requester can submit a request and handle applicable fees electronically. Describe the record precisely instead of asking broadly for “everything” when you already know the person, arrest date or booking identifier.
- Use the full booked name.
- Include the approximate or exact arrest/booking date.
- Include the booking or jacket number if available.
- Identify the record you need, such as an arrest report or booking photograph.
- Keep the request confirmation for follow-up.
The PBSO Central Records main office is at 2195 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33406. The current office page lists (561) 688-3140 as the main phone and states that Central Records is cashless.
Visitation, Mail, Money, Commissary and Phone Basics
After confirming the correct inmate and facility, use PBSO’s own corrections pages for jail services. Vendor rules, schedules and spending limits can change, so verify them again before paying or mailing anything.
Register before scheduling
PBSO requires visitors to register. Visitors for inmates at the Main or West Detention Center can use the official video-visitation system and approved visitation locations.
Use the approved deposit routes
PBSO currently identifies Access Corrections as an electronic deposit option and also provides correctional-facility kiosks. The Sheriff’s FAQ says the kiosk convenience fee is $4.50.
Verify the full booked name and jacket number before sending money.
Current posted spending limits
PBSO’s May 2026 commissary update says each housing assignment has a designated canteen day. It lists a maximum of $90 for clothing and $90 for additional items, for a maximum posted total of $180.
Inmates cannot receive incoming calls
PBSO says inmates have access to telephones in their assigned housing units but cannot receive telephone calls directly.
Mail rules are unusually specific
PBSO’s current corrections FAQ says ordinary incoming inmate mail, other than privileged mail, must be in postcard form. It lists postcard dimensions of at least 3.5 by 5 inches and no more than 4.25 by 6 inches, with handwriting or typing in black or blue ink.
| Facility | Mailing address | PBSO says to include |
|---|---|---|
| Main Detention Center | P.O. Box 24716, West Palm Beach, FL 33416 | Booked name, jacket number and cell assignment on the postcard. |
| West Detention Center | P.O. Box 1450, Belle Glade, FL 33430 | Booked name, jacket number and cell assignment on the postcard. |
Custody Change Notifications Through VINE
PBSO describes Victim Information Notification Everyday, or VINE, as a free automated service that can provide notification when an inmate in a PBSO detention facility is released, transferred or escapes.
VINE can be useful when you need custody-change notification rather than repeatedly refreshing a booking page. PBSO notes that its Palm Beach County VINE coverage applies to inmates housed in PBSO detention facilities.
A Booking Search Is Not the Same as a Warrant Search
A person can have an outstanding warrant without appearing as a current jail inmate. PBSO’s Warrants Division is responsible for processing, storing and executing arrest warrants issued through the Palm Beach County court system.
Warrant question
PBSO’s Warrants Unit lists (561) 688-3930 and is based at 3228 Gun Club Road in West Palm Beach.
Already booked on the warrant
Once there is a jail booking, use the booking and inmate-record routes for custody and bond details rather than treating the warrant page as the custody record.
What If the Arrest Was Dismissed, Sealed or Expunged?
A dismissal does not automatically mean every criminal-history record disappears. FDLE explains that a Florida criminal-history record can continue to exist even when charges were dropped, dismissed or not filed.
Court-ordered sealing or expungement has a separate legal process. For the standard Florida court-ordered route, FDLE requires a person to first apply for a Certificate of Eligibility. Eligibility depends on the person’s record and the offense involved, and receiving the certificate does not itself seal or expunge the case.
Do not use a mugshot page to decide eligibility
FDLE currently says a completed Certificate of Eligibility application is typically processed in about 12 weeks. Court relief is not complete until the proper court issues an order and FDLE receives the certified order.
If You Cannot Find the Palm Beach County Booking
Check spelling, alternate surnames and the arrest date. Then confirm that Palm Beach County was actually the booking jurisdiction rather than only the place where an incident occurred.
Use the available booking identifiers and contact PBSO or Central Records. Do not assume a missing image means the arrest did not occur.
Search the Clerk’s court database for the case outcome. A jail roster is not designed to replace a criminal-court docket.
Stop using the result until multiple details agree. Name-only matching can associate a record with the wrong person.
A prior county booking does not establish present location. Check current custody sources and use VINE where appropriate.
Remember the Clerk’s stated 2:00–4:00 a.m. maintenance window. Users outside the United States should also review the Clerk’s VPN-access notice.
