Orange County Orlando Mugshots, Jail Bookings and Arrest Record Search

The fastest official route for checking whether someone is currently held in the Orange County jail system is the Orange County Corrections Current Inmate Database. It can show current charges, bond information and a booking photo when one is available.

Use the booking record as a starting point, not as the final history of a criminal case. Arrest charges may change, a person may be released, and the eventual court disposition belongs in the Orange County Clerk of Courts record rather than the jail listing.

Important: A mugshot or jail booking shows that a person was processed into custody. It does not establish guilt or prove that the original charge resulted in a conviction.

How to Search Orange County Mugshots and Jail Bookings

Open the county’s Current Inmate Database.Use the Orange County Corrections site rather than a copied mugshot gallery when you need present custody information.
Enter the last name. The county search requires a last name and lets you add a first name to narrow common-name results.
Check identity details.Compare the booking number, age and other available record fields instead of relying on a photo alone.
Review charges and bond separately.A booking charge is an allegation at that stage. Bond information can also change after a court proceeding.
Capture the case number. If the booking includes a case number, use it in the Orange County Clerk of Courts system for the cleaner court-record match.
Check court records for the outcome. The jail record answers custody questions; the court docket is the better route for hearings, filings and later case activity.

Current Orange County Inmates and Booking Photos

Orange County’s inmate database is designed for people who are presently in jail. The county says a person’s record is added to the public listing after it enters the Corrections Inmate Management System and is normally reflected in the online search within about 30 minutes.

When someone is released, the person no longer appears in the current inmate listings. That distinction matters when a search returns nothing: a missing current result does not prove that an arrest or older booking never occurred.

What the official search can show

  • Current jail status
  • Booking information
  • Filed booking charges
  • Bond amount when applicable
  • Booking photograph when available

What it does not prove

  • That the person committed the alleged offense
  • That every original charge remained unchanged
  • That a conviction occurred
  • That a person who disappeared from the list has no court case
  • That the mugshot alone establishes identity
No result? Recheck the spelling, try only the legal last name, allow for very recent intake processing, and call Orange County Inmate Records Management at 407-836-3400 when the official database does not resolve the question.

Recent Orange County Jail Bookings

Orange County also publishes a Daily Booking List. The county describes it as a report covering inmates booked during a 24-hour period beginning at midnight of the preceding day.

The daily PDF is useful when the question is specifically about recent arrests, but the county directs users to the searchable inmate database for more current information. A booking report and the live custody search therefore serve different purposes.

Current custody

Use the Current Inmate Database. It is the better route for checking whether someone is still listed in jail now.

24-hour bookings

Use the Daily Booking List when you want the county’s booking report for the prior daily reporting window.

Released person

Move to Orange County Corrections public-records procedures and the Clerk of Courts search. A released person normally disappears from the current inmate listing.

How to Read an Orange County Booking Record

Use different fields for different questions; no single field tells the whole story.
Record What it tells you Best source
Booking photo Image associated with the jail intake record; useful as one identity clue, not proof of guilt. Orange County Corrections
Booking number A strong identifier for jail-related questions, mail and records matching. Orange County Corrections
Charge The offense allegation or legal basis recorded in the jail system at that stage. Jail record, then court docket
Bond Current bond information shown by Corrections when applicable; court action can change it. Corrections / first appearance
Case number The most useful bridge from the jail entry to the court file. Orange County Clerk of Courts
Court disposition Later judicial activity such as filings, hearings or final case outcome. Orange County Clerk of Courts
Names can repeat. When two people have similar names, compare multiple identifiers before sharing or acting on the record. This is especially important with arrest photographs because a mistaken identity can unfairly associate an uninvolved person with criminal allegations.

Check Orange County Court Records After the Jail Search

Jail information and court information are separate records. Orange County Corrections handles custody and booking information, while the Orange County Clerk of Courts provides public access to many criminal case records through my eClerk.

The Clerk search accepts a name, case number, citation number and date criteria. Name searches require both first and last name. The Clerk notes that anonymous users must complete a CAPTCHA for searches and that some records are restricted from general public access.

Use the case number when you have it. It is usually safer than relying only on a common name and helps connect the correct jail booking with the correct court docket.

Bond and Release Information

The current inmate database can show a bond amount when one applies. Orange County Corrections says bond may be posted in person at the Booking and Release Center using approved guaranteed-payment methods, through a bonding company selected by the payer, or through the county’s stated Western Union process.

Corrections warns that the jail does not recommend bail bond companies and will not call someone to assist with bond payments. Treat unsolicited bond-payment calls as a reason to stop and verify directly with the jail.

Booking and Release Center

Address: 3855 South John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32839
Phone: 407-836-3400

Orange County describes the Booking and Release Center as operating 24/7. The bond-release process can take up to 12 hours depending on verification, outstanding-warrant checks, jail operations, booking volume and staffing.

Bond scam warning: Verify the inmate, the exact bond amount and the payment method on the official Orange County Corrections website or by calling Corrections before transferring money.

First Appearance and Initial Bond Review

Most people booked on a new offense are entitled to appear before a judge unless they are released on bond before the proceeding. Orange County posts first-appearance lists every day and says initial appearances are held seven days a week, including holidays.

The current county schedule lists weekday sessions at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.; weekend and court-holiday sessions are generally held at 11 a.m., although start times can vary with judicial operations. Low booking volume can also result in weekday sessions being combined.

Orange County Jail Video Visitation

Orange County Corrections uses video visitation for family and friends. The Video Visitation Center is at 3000 39th Street, Orlando, FL 32839 and is listed as open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the last session beginning at 9 p.m.

For a first appointment, the county instructs visitors to call at least one day in advance. Scheduling is handled at 407-836-8061. Visitors should arrive at least 15 minutes early and bring an accepted government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, passport, state ID or military ID.

Before traveling: Confirm the inmate is still in custody and recheck the current visitation page for schedule or rule changes. Dress-code or visitation violations can end a visit or affect later visitation privileges.

Mail and Phone Information

Sending regular inmate mail

Orange County began processing regular inmate postal mail through Smart Communications in April 2024. Regular letters and similar mail are sent to the off-site mail-processing address and made available to inmates electronically.

The county requires the inmate’s full name and booking number. Because the booking number is essential, verify it in the current inmate database before mailing anything.

Check current Orange County mail instructions

Receiving inmate phone calls

Orange County states that a telephone account must be established to receive inmate calls and that account setup may take up to 24 hours.

Provider details and billing contacts can change, so use the county’s inmate-phone page instead of relying on an old third-party phone number or payment link.

How to Find an Older Orange County Booking or Mugshot

A person who has been released will normally disappear from the Current Inmate Database. For older jail material, Orange County Corrections provides a public-records request process rather than keeping every historical booking visible in the live roster.

In person

Ask for the custodian of public records at the Corrections Administration building, 3723 Vision Blvd., Orlando, FL 32839.

By mail

Orange County Corrections, Custodian of Public Records, P.O. Box 4970, Orlando, FL 32802-4970.

By phone

407-836-0321

For an older arrest, check both the jail-record route and the court case. The jail record documents custody history; the court record may show what happened to the criminal case afterward.

Orange County Warrants Are a Different Search

Do not treat the current jail roster as a complete warrant search. Someone can have an active warrant without being in the Orange County jail, and a jail booking may involve a warrant issued in another jurisdiction.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Process Section maintains and confirms Orange County criminal warrants for law-enforcement purposes. The Sheriff’s Office advises a person who believes there may be a warrant for their arrest to contact a local law-enforcement agency.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office

Main: 407-254-7000
Non-emergency: 407-836-4357
Records: 407-254-7280

Do not use an arrest page for emergencies

If there is an immediate safety issue or a crime in progress, use 911. A mugshot search, public-record request or online court lookup is not an emergency reporting channel.

Verify Before You Share an Arrest Record

Public jail data can change quickly. A person can be booked, appear online, receive a new bond decision and be released while copied third-party pages continue showing older information.

  • Use Orange County Corrections for present custody.
  • Use the booking number or case number whenever possible.
  • Check the Clerk of Courts for later case activity.
  • Do not describe an arrest charge as a conviction.
  • Do not assume a person is still jailed because an old mugshot remains online elsewhere.
  • Recheck official records before making time-sensitive decisions.
