Find Tarrant County Jail Mugshots, Recent Bookings and Inmate Records
The fastest official route for Tarrant County jail mugshots and current custody information is the Tarrant County Sheriff’s inmate search. For very recent arrests, the Sheriff also publishes Daily Booked In Reports covering the latest 14 days.
A jail search can help confirm whether someone is currently in Tarrant County custody and may provide booking information connected with that detention. A Daily Booked In Report is better suited to checking recent intake activity when you are not sure whether the person remains in jail.
Start with the official Tarrant County inmate search
Search the county system first before relying on third-party mugshot pages. If you find the correct person, save the identifying information shown in the record so you can verify bond and court information separately.
Use the jail record as the starting point, then verify bond and court status in the separate official systems.

Where to Find Recent Tarrant County Bookings
The Sheriff’s Daily Booked In Reports are the most useful official source when your goal is to see people who were recently processed into the Tarrant County jail system. The county currently makes 14 daily reports available, with the newest listed as day 1.
These reports are different from a current inmate search. A person may appear in a recent booking report but no longer be in custody because of release, transfer, bond or another change in status.
Use inmate search when…
- You want current jail or custody information.
- You already know the person’s name.
- You need a starting point for bond information.
- You want to confirm whether the person remains in county custody.
Use daily reports when…
- You are checking very recent booking activity.
- You do not know whether the person is still jailed.
- You want to review an intake date within the available 14-day window.
- The current inmate search no longer returns the person.
What a Tarrant County Jail Record Can Tell You
Booking records are operational jail records. Depending on the current county interface and the record involved, a search may provide identifiers and custody-related information that help you move to the next official source.
| Information | What it helps answer | What to verify next |
|---|---|---|
| Name / booking identity | Whether you located the likely person | Compare additional identifiers before relying on the match |
| Booking or custody details | Whether the record relates to a recent detention | Current inmate status or release information |
| Charge information | What allegation was associated with the booking | Court docket and final disposition |
| Bond information | Whether bond may have been set and the amount | Current bond status with the jail or court |
| Booking photo, when available | Visual identification associated with a booking | Do not treat a photograph as evidence of guilt |

For current bond information, the county instructs callers to use the Tarrant County Jail Inmate Information Line at 817-884-3000. Confirm the current amount and status before traveling or making financial arrangements.

Tarrant County Corrections Center, 100 N. Lamar, Fort Worth, TX 76196. The county states that bonds may be posted at any time, 24 hours a day.
Use the applicable criminal court or clerk record system rather than relying on the original jail booking entry.
Check the Criminal Court Case Separately
Tarrant County’s criminal court system includes district courts handling felony-level criminal matters and county criminal courts handling misdemeanor-level matters. Jail information should therefore be treated as the custody record, not the complete court history.
The county’s Criminal Courts pages provide routes for court dates, misdemeanor and felony record copies, court coordinators and related criminal-court information. The Tim Curry Criminal Justice Center is at 401 W. Belknap Street in Fort Worth.
Misdemeanor records
The Tarrant County County Clerk handles misdemeanor criminal records. The county lists 817-884-1195 for misdemeanor records questions.
Felony records
The District Clerk provides felony record resources, including public access and online case-file options where available.
Current Jail Custody Is Not the Same as a Warrant Search
If a person is currently incarcerated in the Tarrant County Jail, the Sheriff directs users to the inmate search or the jail information line for charges and bond information.
For criminal warrants, however, the Sheriff states that it does not release criminal warrant information to the general public. The county directs people seeking that information to a licensed bondsman or attorney. Traffic warrants must be checked with the agency that issued the citation.

Tarrant County says all detention facilities use the same general visitation schedule. Visitor sign-up begins 30 minutes before visiting hours, and processing ends before the posted closing time.

What to Do When You Cannot Find a Tarrant County Booking
Check the spelling, try another form of the person’s name and review the Daily Booked In Reports if the arrest was recent. The person may also have been released or transferred.
Do not treat a third-party mugshot page as proof of current custody. Recheck the official inmate system and court record.
Call 817-884-3000 and confirm the current amount and status before taking action.
Move from the jail record to the appropriate Tarrant County criminal court or clerk record. The booking entry is not the final disposition.
Do not use the inmate search as a substitute. The Sheriff provides separate warrant guidance and does not release criminal warrant information to the general public.
Contact the Sheriff’s Records Division at 817-884-2942 for local jail-record information.
Use Mugshot and Arrest Information Carefully
Names, booking photographs and charges can be highly sensitive, and similar names can lead to mistaken identity. Confirm the person with multiple record details and use the latest official source whenever accuracy matters.
A mugshot records an arrest-related event, not a conviction. Charges may later be dismissed, amended or resolved differently, and a person may be released while older booking information continues to appear on other websites.
