Find Volusia County Mugshots, Recent Bookings & Jail Records
The fastest starting point for a Volusia County booking photo or current jail record is the county’s inmate information system. For very recent arrests, the Volusia County Clerk also provides downloadable 24-hour arrest and booking reports generated from the county Jail Management System.
Start with the record you actually need
Use the current inmate search for custody and booking information. Use the Clerk’s arrest reports for recent booking activity, and use Case Inquiry when you need the related criminal court record.
These links lead to government or Clerk-operated resources. Availability can change during maintenance or system updates.
How to Search Volusia County Mugshots
Volusia County Corrections maintains the inmate information route used for jail custody records and booking photos. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office also directs people looking for mug shots to the county Corrections public-access system rather than to a separate Sheriff jail database.
Recent Volusia County Arrests and 24-Hour Booking Reports
The Volusia County Clerk publishes daily arrest/booking downloads based on information obtained from the county Jail Management System. The Clerk explains that these files cover people arrested and booked during the previous 24 hours and generally remain downloadable for about 14 calendar days.
Use this route for recent bookings
The Clerk’s Arrest/Booking Download page is useful when you are checking very recent activity by date. Files may be offered in formats such as PDF or spreadsheet downloads.
Do not treat it as the final court record
The Clerk states that these booking files are created by the County from Jail Management System data and are not created or maintained as Clerk court records. Some information may also be withheld because of statutory exemptions.
What a Volusia County Booking Record Can Tell You
A jail record is primarily a custody record. Depending on the available fields, it may help identify the booking, charges recorded by the jail, custody status, bond information and the booking number needed for other jail services.

The county directs people posting bond to the Volusia County Branch Jail at 1300 Red John Drive.
County guidance states that inmates are generally not released between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. unless a responsible party is on site to transport the released person from Corrections property.
Visiting Someone in Volusia County Jail
On-site visitation is by appointment at the Video Visitation Building next to the Branch Jail. You need the inmate’s six-digit booking number before scheduling, which is one reason to save the number from the inmate search.
- Visits are offered Tuesday through Saturday.
- Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- The county allows scheduling up to two weeks ahead.
- Visitors should check in 10 minutes before the appointment.
- Adults age 18 and older need acceptable photo identification showing date of birth.
- Visits are restricted during an inmate’s first 72 hours unless approved by the Operations Supervisor.
- Electronic devices such as cell phones and cameras are prohibited in the visitation building.
The county publishes multiple 30-minute visiting sessions during afternoon and evening hours. Check the official visitation page before leaving because operational schedules and restrictions can change.
Check the Criminal Court Case After the Booking
The Volusia County Clerk of Circuit Court maintains criminal court records separately from the jail. Case Inquiry can be searched by name or case number and is the better route for following filings and court activity after an arrest.
Use the booking record first
Write down the full booked name, booking date, charge description and any available case number. These details reduce the chance of matching the wrong court case.
Then check the Clerk
Public criminal case files are generally available unless sealed, expunged or otherwise restricted. Some public document images appear online, while others may require Clerk review before release.
Need an Arrest Report or Record That Is Not Online?
