Volusia Mugshots: Start With the County Booking Search
For recent Volusia County mugshots, booking numbers, charges and custody information, begin with the Volusia County Division of Corrections inmate information system. The county states that its online inmate data is updated about every 15 minutes, but the website is informational rather than the official jail record.
Use the booking result as your starting record. A mugshot or booking entry can show that a person entered the jail system, but it does not establish guilt or tell you the final result of a criminal case. For case status and court disposition, continue to the Volusia County Clerk of Circuit Court.
Search Official Volusia County Booking Information
The county’s public-access system provides inmate and booking information and is also the route identified by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office for mug shots. You may need to accept the county disclaimer before entering the search.
A booking result answers a different question from the court record. Use both when you need current custody information and the later case outcome.

How to Find Volusia Mugshots Online
The official public-access site is operated for Volusia County Corrections. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office specifically directs people looking for mug shots to the county Corrections public-access system rather than to a separate Sheriff-operated mugshot database.
What a Volusia Booking Record Can—and Cannot—Tell You
Useful booking details
- Booked name and identifying information shown by the system
- Booking number
- Booking or custody information
- Listed criminal charges
- Booking image when available through the public system
- Bond or related custody information when displayed
What requires another source
- Final guilt or innocence
- Dismissal or amended charges
- Plea or trial outcome
- Final sentence
- Detailed court docket activity
- Sealed or confidential information
The county’s inmate website expressly states that its online information is for general informational purposes and is not the official record for legal action. Court files maintained by the Clerk are the appropriate next route for case information.
How to Check Charges and Bond Information
For questions specifically about booking, bonding, charges or arrest information, Volusia County Corrections lists 386-254-1540. For bond information through the Branch Jail Booking Office, the county lists 386-254-1555, and says that booking office is open 24 hours a day.
Call 386-254-1540 when the online record is unclear or you need jail-side information about booking, charges or arrest details.
Call the Branch Jail Booking Office at 386-254-1555. Volusia County states that a bond may be posted in cash or through a bondsman.
The Branch Jail is the county location for posting bond and attending First Appearance hearings.
Use the Clerk of Circuit Court instead of the booking page to verify later criminal case events and disposition.
Use Volusia Court Records to Check What Happened After Booking
The Volusia County Clerk of Circuit Court maintains criminal case records. The Clerk’s Case Inquiry can be searched by name or case number, and many public docket documents can be viewed online. Records that are confidential, sealed or otherwise restricted are not available to the general public.
Use the jail search for
Current or recent custody, booking number, booking photo, charges listed at the jail and related incarceration information.
Use the Clerk for
Criminal case activity, scheduled events, filed documents, later charge information and case disposition when publicly available.
The Clerk also publishes daily arrest/booking downloads created by Volusia County from Jail Management System data. Those daily criminal arrest files cover people booked during the preceding 24-hour reporting period and remain available only for a limited period, so they are better suited to recent-booking research than long-term case tracking.
Branch Jail and Correctional Facility
Volusia County Corrections operates two primary facilities in the Daytona Beach area. The county notes that the Corrections Division is separate from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
| Facility | Address | Phone | Main role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volusia County Branch Jail | 1300 Red John Drive, Daytona Beach, FL 32124 | 386-254-1555 | Includes pretrial, state-sentenced and certain medium/high-custody populations; bond and First Appearance functions are handled here. |
| Volusia County Correctional Facility | 1354 Indian Lake Road, Daytona Beach, FL 32124 | 386-254-1565 | Includes county-sentenced, certain low/medium-custody populations and female inmates. |
Release Timing and First Appearance
Volusia County explains that a newly admitted person normally remains in custody until bond is posted or a judge orders release. Within one day of jail admission, the person appears before a judge for First Appearance, where bond may be raised, lowered or left unchanged, and other release decisions may be made.
First Appearance schedule
The county currently lists First Appearance hearings at the Branch Jail at 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. on weekends and holidays.
Release processing
Once someone becomes eligible for release, jail processing can take approximately 2 to 4 hours, depending on the circumstances and paperwork involved.
Volusia County Visitation Basics
Volusia County uses video visitation rather than contact visitation. On-site visits take place at the Visitation Center at 1300A Red John Drive, next to the Branch Jail. You need the inmate’s 6-digit booking number to schedule a visit.
Visits are by appointment. The county directs visitors to IC Solutions or its automated scheduling phone system.
Appointments must be made at least 24 hours ahead and by 9 p.m. before the requested visit day. Appointments may be scheduled up to two weeks in advance.
Regular visitation is Tuesday through Saturday, with one visiting session per day.
Arrive and check in 10 minutes before the scheduled session. Late visitors are not admitted after the visitation period begins.
Current listed visitation sessions

Need an Arrest Record Rather Than a Mugshot?
The agencies have different responsibilities. Volusia County Corrections manages jail custody and the inmate information system, while the Volusia Sheriff’s Office Records Section maintains incident and Florida traffic crash reports generated by the Sheriff’s Office and handles matters such as sealing and expunging VSO arrest records.
Corrections
Use for inmate searches, mugshots, booking numbers, jail charges, bond information, release questions and visitation.
Sheriff’s Records Section
Use for public records generated by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office. The Records Section lists 386-736-5962 for public-record assistance.
Volusia Mugshot Search Troubleshooting
A recent arrest may still be moving through intake or the public system’s update cycle. Recheck after the next update or call Corrections if the matter is time-sensitive.
Check spelling and any known booked name or alias. Do not assume a similar name or photograph is the correct person.
The person may have been released, transferred or otherwise moved out of the current county custody view. Use court records for the criminal case and, where appropriate, Florida Department of Corrections for state custody.
Use the Clerk’s criminal case system. Initial booking charges can differ from later filed, amended, dismissed or adjudicated charges.
Do not rely on the public inmate website as an official record. Contact the responsible jail, Clerk or records office for the appropriate official record or certified copy.
Avoid Bond-Payment Scams
Volusia County Corrections warns about fraudulent calls and text messages from people pretending to be jail employees or bail bondsmen and demanding money to release someone. The county says Corrections staff will not solicit a bond payment from you.
