Find Recent Orlando Mugshots, Arrests and Jail Booking Records

For an Orlando booking photo or current jail record, start with the official Orange County Corrections Current Inmate Database. It lists people who are currently in jail and can show charges, bond information and a booking photo.

If the person has already been released, the current-inmate search is no longer the right tool. Move to the Orange County Clerk court search, the arresting agency’s records process or Orange County Corrections records depending on what you need to verify.

Arrest is not conviction. A booking photo, arrest entry or criminal charge documents an allegation or custody event. Charges can be amended or dismissed, and the later court disposition should be checked separately.

Start with the official Orange County jail search

The county says its current-inmate database is updated every 30 minutes. A last name is required for a name search; a first name is optional.

Best search order Current custody → booking number and case number → court docket → arresting-agency report if more detail is needed.

Orlando arrest record search sequence Search current jail custody, identify the booking and case number, check the court docket, then request an agency report if needed. Jail Search Booking Number Court Docket Agency Record

Using the identifiers from the jail record makes later court and agency searches much more precise.

Recent Orlando Arrests and the 24-Hour Booking Report

Orange County Corrections also publishes a daily booking report. The county describes it as a list of inmates booked during a 24-hour period beginning at midnight of the preceding day.

The booking report is useful when you are trying to scan recent admissions rather than search one known name. For the most current custody information, however, the county specifically directs users back to the live inmate search.

Current inmate search

Best for confirming whether someone is in Orange County jail now and viewing the current jail record.

Key limitation: once the person is released, the county says the person will no longer appear in the current listings.

Daily booking report

Best for reviewing people booked during the report’s defined 24-hour period.

Key limitation: it is a daily report, so the live inmate database should be used for newer custody changes.

Mugshot, Booking Record, Police Report and Court Record Are Different

Many searches for “Florida mugshots Orlando” combine several record types that come from different agencies. Choosing the correct source saves time and prevents a booking event from being mistaken for a final legal outcome.

Which Orlando-area source should you use?
What you need Best starting source What it answers
Current jail custody Orange County Corrections Whether the person currently appears in county jail custody.
Booking photo Current Inmate Database Booking photo availability for a person shown in the current jail database.
Recent booking activity Orange County daily booking report Bookings listed for the report’s 24-hour period.
Court case status Orange County Clerk of Courts Court docket, filings and available case information.
Orlando police incident or arrest report Orlando Police Department Police records connected with incidents handled by OPD.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office report Orange County Sheriff’s Office Records Sheriff’s Office incident and public-record material.
Florida criminal history Florida Department of Law Enforcement A statewide criminal-history search rather than one Orlando jail booking.

Use Orange County Court Records to Check What Happened After the Arrest

A jail record describes custody and booking information. To follow the criminal case after booking, use the Orange County Clerk of Courts’ my eClerk records search.

The Clerk states that a name search requires both first and last name. You can also search by case number or citation number when you already have an identifier from the jail or arrest record.

Name search

Use both the person’s first and last name. Refine the search when many people share a similar name.

Case-number search

This is usually more precise. Copy the case number carefully from the jail or booking record when it is available.

Older court records

The Clerk says online docket information is available for most cases from approximately 1990 to the present, with documents available from 2009 for most case types.

Anonymous users should expect a CAPTCHA before each Clerk search. Some case categories are restricted from general-public search, so “no results” does not always prove that no case exists.

When You Need the Arresting Agency’s Report

The jail database and police report serve different purposes. If you need the incident narrative, agency report or other law-enforcement record, identify the arresting agency in the booking information and request records from that agency.

Orlando Police Department

For incidents handled by OPD, use the City of Orlando’s police-record request process. OPD says requests can cover incident reports, body-worn-camera video, CAD reports and other police-related records.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office

OCSO accepts report requests online, in person, by mail and by phone. Its Records Section can be reached at 407-254-7280.

Another agency

The Orange County jail receives arrests from multiple law-enforcement agencies. If another department is shown as the arresting agency, request the incident record from that department rather than assuming OPD or OCSO holds it.

Orlando Police records

OPD directs police-related public-record requests through the City of Orlando records system.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office records

OCSO lists its Records Section at 2500 West Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32804. Agency facility hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Open OCSO records services.

Local Orange County Criminal-History Requests

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says its Records/Identification Section offers local criminal-history checks. This is different from a jail booking search because it is a records service rather than a current-custody lookup.

OCSO local history details

  • Published fee: $5 for a local criminal-history check.
  • Requests may be submitted through the Sheriff’s Office Public Records Portal.
  • Online payments may include additional payment-processor fees.
  • Records Section: 2500 West Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32804.
  • Published office hours: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Verify fees and service instructions on the agency site before paying because public-record procedures can change.

For a Florida Statewide Criminal-History Search, Use FDLE

If your question is broader than one Orlando or Orange County booking, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is the state’s central repository for Florida criminal-history information.

FDLE currently lists a $24 public-request fee. Its Instant Search adds a $1 credit-card processing fee and returns a non-certified result that can be printed or emailed. Certified and non-certified staff-processed searches are separate options.

Do not substitute one jail mugshot for a statewide record check. A county booking search answers a narrow custody question. A statewide criminal-history request is a different service with different coverage and fees.

Review Florida criminal-history search options at FDLE.

Orange County Booking and Release Center

Orange County lists its Booking and Release Center at 3855 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32839. The county directory identifies the Booking and Release Center as open 24/7.

Corrections information

407-836-3400

The county identifies this as a 24-hour automated Corrections Information number. Inmate information is available through option 1.

What happens during booking

County materials describe intake steps that include property inventory, medical screening, fingerprinting, photographing and pretrial screening after an arrestee is transferred into Corrections custody.

How to Verify That You Have the Right Person

Name-only searching can produce false matches, especially with common names. Before sharing or relying on a booking result, compare as many available identifiers as the official source provides.

  • Full name and spelling.
  • Booking number.
  • Case number.
  • Age or other available identifying details.
  • Arresting agency.
  • Booking or custody dates.
  • Charges shown in the current record.
A matching name alone is not enough to establish identity. Do not attach an arrest record or photograph to someone until the official identifiers reasonably match.

Why an Orlando Mugshot or Booking May Not Appear

No current-inmate result

The person may have been released. Orange County says released people no longer appear in its current-inmate listings. Check the court docket or request the appropriate agency record.

Arrest happened very recently

The county says newly entered inmate information can take up to 30 minutes to appear in the public listing.

Name does not match

Check spelling and try the legal last name used during booking. Do not assume two similar names refer to the same person.

Need final case outcome

Move from the jail record to Orange County Clerk of Courts records. The jail listing is not the final criminal-case history.

Need incident details

Use the arresting agency shown in the booking information and request the police or sheriff report from that agency.

Need statewide history

Use FDLE rather than treating the Orange County jail database as a statewide criminal-history search.

Use Arrest and Mugshot Information Carefully

Public availability does not make every use of an arrest record appropriate. A booking photo captures a moment in the booking process and does not show whether charges were later dropped, reduced, diverted or resolved in the person’s favor.

For a current legal status, verify the court docket and other relevant official records. Avoid using this page or a county jail result as a substitute for a legally compliant consumer-reporting process for employment, housing, credit, insurance or another regulated eligibility decision.
